The Community
The community consists of many people, who love gaming and playing games online against you fellow human opponents.
Community Liaisons
If you are new to the community, you may want to know about who can help you play online, against opponents of similar skill, and things like starting a clan, playing in leagues and competitions: Enter the Community Liaisons (CLs).
CLs head up the Club Captains, league masters, admins and forum Moderators. Each Community Liaison has an area of responsibility, that usually refers to a game or number of games supported by Wireplay, and you will find them of great help in getting yourself familiarising started in the community.
Forums
You’ll find that our forums are visited by a huge number of people, airing their views and informing each other of important issues (and not so important ones). If you’re unsure about how to use the forums… check out our Wireplay Forums FAQs, or if you’re comfotable with them go and get stuck in.
IRC
This is another widely used method of communication for the Wireplay community, and very handy if you are looking for information quickly. Check out our IRC New User Guide
Game Communities
Most of the popular games on wireplay have thriving communities. On each community page you will find links to essential resources for the game in question, as well as links to the relevant club and clan sites that play that game. The Community sites host all the relevant news about that particular game, and all the news about events and status on that game on the wireplay service. The community sites are an essential resource for community members.
Clans
Once you are playing on Wireplay, you may want to involve yourself with a clan, in which case you might like to have a look at our Clan Guide.
Hopefully this information will help you become more familiar with the community, if you ever have any questions then mail us at support@wireplay.co.uk
