With sign ups now closed for Wireplay’s well received return to hosting competitive Counterstrike events, attention has turned to the round 1 draw.

Rather than quickly pulling names out of a hat, it was decided to give the honour of drawing the round 1 fixtures to an individual not associated with the competition, but who had contributed to Wireplay in the past. Enter Dave Carter, also known by many as FiRe. Dave was formerly the Community Liaison for Wireplay Counterstrike and here are the round 1 fixtures he drew:

In closing, Dave, now Counterstrike Community Liaison for Multiplay UK, wished “the best of luck to all clans involved”.

It looks like we are going to be in for a very exciting contest, with no real knowing who the strongest contenders are yet.
